Our customers come to us for many different reasons. Some want a simple oil change and service, others need some mechanical repair performed whilst some want to go all out and build a race car. Regardless of their needs our customers all share the same passion for their BMW's, just as we do.
The following is but a small sample of some of the car's RX automotive regularly works on.
We can't take credit for performing the entire turbo conversion but when Julian needed an engine built to handle the extra power of forced induction he called on us to assist. The end result saw this black beauty pumping out 515hp at 28psi. The number plate says it all.
This beautiful old classic BMW was in need of power plant upgrade. Originally powered by a single overhead cam 2.0 litre in-line 4 cylinder engine that was quick in it's day we quickly changed all of that. The new engine transplanted into the small BMW's engine bay is now a 2.5 litre, S14 M Power engine producing over 270hp. Backed by a Drenth 6 speed sequential gearbox this lightweight Sports Sedan is super competitive.
Tony's first BMW was giving him a few niggling problems with warm starts. After running his battery flat trying to get it started he gave up on "internet forum fixes" and brought it to us for a check up. We quickly diagnosed a problem with his fuel injectors which were worn beyond repair. With new injectors fitted and quick check done on other components he was back on the road and enjoying his new purchase.
Paul came to us with his 1989 Bronze E30 325 street/track car for a final check before a track meet at Morgan Park recently. We changed the oil & filter, flushed the brake fluid and replaced with race spec fluid, installed braided lines, checked all suspension components and replaced the brake pads with competition pads and ensured the timing was right. Paul reported back that his E30 performed faultlessly all day and he added that he felt more confident knowing that his car had been “double checked & serviced” by experienced track racers prior to the event.
Addam runs a BMW wrecking and workshop business on the Gold Coast and is building up a dedicated E24 Track Car. When his differential started slipping and playing up he was ready to throw it out and buy a new. He sent it to us first (just in case) and in less than 24 hours we had sourced some new internal parts and rebuilt it for him saving him hundreds of dollars. The diff has held up to some punishing track time and easily handles the power his Schrick cammed, high compression M30 B34 engine delivers.
